Poor Gary Coleman just can’t catch a break. The 41-year-old former Diff’rent Strokes child star has a new gig. The pint-sized actor/former security guard/ex-telemarketer is endorsing a Canadian french fry chain in a series of print and billboard ads now on display around the country.

Gary appears in the ads holding a cup of pippin’ hot french fries from New York Fries, next to ad copy which reads: “After 25 years, some things are still fresh.” His image is also being used as a booblehead in a Facebook application for the company.

This is just sad.

Marketing Magazine writes: To celebrate its 25th anniversary, New York Fries is tapping into pop culture’s past for a new print and out-of-home campaign from its Toronto-based agency Zig…..Zig wanted to look at celebrities from the era of New York Fries’ birth “that are no longer all that relevant,” [the marketing manager for New York Fries] said.

“After going through a full list of tenderly remembered people, we decided to go with Gary Coleman because everyone still had this affection for him… We thought he paid-off the innuendo in the ‘fresh’ line really well, and were thrilled he was willing to do it.”

Gary Coleman’s wife Shannon Price was arrested on charges of domestic violence and disorderly conduct after she broke several household items and berated police during a fight with the 4-foot 8-inch tall former child star.

Police in Santaquin, Utah, were called to the couples home on Wednesday night after Shannon locked her husband out of the house.

While Gary was not harmed during the altercation, Shannon is accused of greeting authorities with a gruff “F— you and f— him!”

Shannon spent two hours in a county lockup before being released on $1,205 bond.

After five months of dating, Gary, 41, married Shannon, 23, in a secret ceremony in 2007. Last year, the couple reconciled after appearing on Divorce Court.

The pint-sized tomfool recently sat down for a interview for upcoming movie in Midgets Vs Mascots and somehow the chat turned intoan odd rant about how “rude” and “racist” “White People” are.

That’s interesting…especially since Gary is married to a pale and pasty redhead.

I can’t figure out if this is part of the movie or what’s going on….One thing’s for certain, we need to get little Gary into some good therapy.

Gary Coleman is in trouble with the law this Sunday after the troubled former child star reportedly ran over an overzealous fan with his pickup truck outside of bowling alley in Utah late Saturday.

Colt Rushton, 24, asked to take a photo of Gary, 40, and his wife, Shannon Price-Coleman. When Gary said no, Colt reportedly started harassing the newlyweds, witnesses say. Spies tell police the actor became irritated after Colt photographed him anyway and the two men began arguing in the bowling alley.

Later that evening, Colt was hit by the Diff’rent Strokes actor’s pickup when he ran around it as Gary and Shannon were backing out.

Reston was taken to a hospital where he was treated for minor injuries, Lt. Bill Wright told the Salt Lake Tribune early Sunday.

Lt. Wright added that there were “indications” that alcohol was a factor in the incident.

Gary Coleman and his twenty-two year old bride wrapped up their publicity stunt, ummm, we mean appearance on television’s Divorce Court on Friday. Judge Lynn Toler has ordered the couple to attend counseling and give their short-lived marriage another six months.
