Garth Brooks Retired No Longer
On Thursday, country superstar Garth Brooks announced that he’s coming out of retirement. The legend cowboy retired in 2000 to spend more time with his three children — although he occasionally made special appearances at awards shows and charity events. He and fellow country star Trisha Yearwood, who married in 2005, live in Oklahoma.

“We’re going to take the retirement roof off over our head, and I already feel taller,” the 47-year-old said at a press conference in Nashville on Thursday. “As for touring, if I can’t eat it, sleep it, breathe it, then it ain’t me.”
We hear Garth will soon announce that he’s taking up residence on the Las Vegas strip.
