How do you stand apart from the crowd? How do you show your individuality? Your style of clothing, the way you wear your hair, and the addition or lack of tattoos and piercing are all ways we like to show our uniqueness in the world. However, when you are behind the wheel of your car, your own attributes slowly disapper. When driving down the road, you are no more than a head in a window to most of the people you pass — your car is the real head-turner.

You can spruce up your car, but bumper stickers are so 20th century. To express yourself in your car, you can add one or more unique car decals to express anything including politics, religion, family, or just sense of humor. And while you want to engage other people on the road with your chosen decals, you don’t want to go overboard and be responsible for causing any distracted driving from other travelers. Check this very family-friendly car decals list and start to pimp your ride.

1. Flames

To give your auto an extra level of style, a wall of flames accenting the side of your car can’t be beat.

2. Racing Stripes

A classic-yet-timeless decal, racing stripes down the hood and even across your car provide a unique look to any ride.

3. Windshield Words

Add your car’s name or even a special message to the top of your windshield. You can also reverse the lettering to allow your passengers see your message correctly through the rear view mirror.

4. Favorite Sports Team

Whether you are a casual sports enthusiast or a diehard fan who loves your team wherever they are, decals showcasing your favorite sports team let everyone know who you are cheering for. These decals can make you new friends or create friendly rivalries with others. Choose team colors or pick your favorite star to spotlight.

5. Causes and Charities

The ribbon has become ubiquitous, sporting good causes such as a pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness. Many charities have claimed a colored ribbon to symbolize their cause. Putting these on your car reminds you and other drivers to think of those we’ve lost or let them know you are supporting a good cause.

6. Family Stick Figures

People who are proud of their family often choose to add various stick figures to represent everyone. There are unique decals for both genders at any age and even a choice to add pets. If your kids are into specific sports or activities, such as ballet or soccer, you can get a decal depicting kids or fun characters in the proper uniform or outfit. Lovers of these decals often update them on the car as the family grows in number or age.

There is no limit.

Whatever you can dream, someone else can put on a decal for you. So decorate your car with your favorite cartoon character, your favorite food, or even turn your new VW into a stylish copy of Herbie the Love Bug. It’s your car. Learn to apply them properly and you’ll have miles of fun.

Five Fun Things to Do During Winter

The end of summer doesn’t mean the end of fun. There are plenty of fun activities to enjoy during the winter months. By preparing for activities that are perfect for winter, you can help ensure that you will have a blast no matter what kind of weather Mother Nature sends your way.

Take a Ski Trip

If you live near mountains, you should plan a ski trip for this winter. Most ski resorts offer hills and trails for people of all skill levels. Experts can challenge themselves on steep inclines with plenty of obstacles while beginners learn to control their skis on the bunny slopes.

Before you head to a ski resort in the mountain, get your vehicle ready for the trip. Preparing your car for winter is the smart way to keep your trip fun instead of getting stranded along a snowy road.

Ice Skating

Take advantage of the freezing temperatures by ice skating outdoors. Look for a pond, lake or river near you that gets cold enough to skate on safely. It’s important to follow all safety precautions while skating outdoors. Some bodies of water might not freeze enough to support the weight of skaters.

If you live in a warm climate, then you can capture the spirit of winter by skating at an indoor ice rink.

Go Camping

Camping during winter is completely different from camping during summer. You get to see a different group of animals during the winter and you don’t have to deal with as many insects. Look for deer, foxes and other animals that you can spot through the bare trees and sparse vegetation.

Go Sledding

When the first snowfall blankets your city, grab a sled and head to a hilly park. Climb to the top of the hill as many times as you can before you’re too soaked and exhausted to make another attempt. Then you can take a hot shower and relax.

Prepare for a Night In

If you start to grow tired of the cold, then head indoors for a night in. Rent a video or find a movie on Netflix; make some hot chocolate; pop some popcorn; and gather some warm blankets for your couch. Spend the evening with your family or significant other enjoying your home’s warmth.

Whether you prefer to stay inside or head into the outdoors, winter offers plenty of fun activities that you can enjoy. What are some of your favorite things to do during winter?
