Leann Rimes In Talks With Producers For The X Factor Judge Spot

Crooner Leann Rimes is presently in talks with The X Factor producers to fill one of two judge’s spots following Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger’s departures. Rimes was recently questioned regarding the potential X Factor position following a meeting with FrematleMedia North America (co-producers of the hit reality show) and offered: “There are a lot of unknowns, but I’m always open. I love the show. I was a kid on Star Search when I was eight. I obviously have an 18-year-career in this business.”
X Factor creator Simon Cowell has been working with the show’s executives and mentioned that a final decision would arrive in the very new future before the second season of the show begins. Among Rimes’ competition for the pair of judge spots are: Fergie, Kelly Rowland, Vanessa Hudgens, Mariah Carey, and Britney Spears.
In addition to the possible X Factor gig, the twenty nine year old second wife of Eddie Cibrian is getting ready to head back into the studio to record her 14th album next month.

Remember when we told you that Grammy-winning hip-poppers The Black Eyed Peas planned to take a hiatus following the release of their most recent album?
Yeah, well according to a new scoop floating around the Interwebs, it’s actually Fergie who’s going on an extended vacation. She’s planning to take an indefinite leave of absence after BEP’s last scheduled show on Nov. 23.
And guess who’s replacing her…
