Carrie wishes she was a bit more Dolly. Country starlet Carrie Underwood says legendary singer Dolly Parton is her style icon.
The American Idol winner – who had the best-selling solo female debut album in country music history with 2005’s Some Hearts - credits the busty blonde with often inspiring her country style.
Carrie, 26, reveals on the pages of the December issue of Lucky Magazine: “I like pairing cowboy boots with unexpected things, like cute dresses. You can be ‘country’ and still be stylish – I would wear them regardless of what kind of music I sang.”
However, Carrie isn’t quite brave enough to take on many of Dolly’s glittery outfits.
“I would never attempt to pull off Dolly’s wardrobe, but her confidence is enviable. She always makes it work!”

The bombshell has been taking helicopter lessons at Marshfield Airport in Boston for about two months, now Gisele has two years to pass her practical flying test. She will need to complete 20 hours of flight lessons with an instructor and 10 hours of solo flying before she can become fully licensed.

“Both mother and baby are happy and healthy,” a rep for the G.I. Joe star said in a statement issued Monday morning.
Tobin, who weighed 6 lbs., 3 oz., is the first child for Karolina — once dubbed the “Sexiest Woman In The World — and her film producer fiance, Archie Drury.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie are in talks to play the monarchs of The Gucci Family in director Ridley Scott’s new film about the fashion dynasty.
Jolie is slated to play Patrizia Reggiano, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci, who was sentenced to 29 years in prison for masterminding the murder-for-hire plot that killed the fashion guru in 1995, according to Thursday’s Variety.
Shooting on the Gucci biopic is expected to begin early next year.
Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker and her husband, NBA San Antonio Spurs point guard, Tony Parker, have been tapped to appear in the 2009 London Fog holiday marketing campaign, marking the couple’s first fashion campaign together.

Victoria Beckham has landed a role on The CW’s primetime teen soap Gossip Girl.
The former Spice Girl is due to fly to New York City this Wednesday, Oct. 21, where she will complete filming for her cameo appearance, London’s The Mirror has learned.
