
The Emmy Nominations are in!
Announced live this morning on Good Morning America, the best in television were honored with a nomination. The Emmy’s will be broadcast live on Sunday, September 23rd.
The top drama’s nominated were, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, Downtown Abbey, Homeland, Mad Men and Game of Thrones. Top comedy series included, Modern Family, Curb your Enthusiasm, Girls, 30 Rock, Veep and The Big Bang Theory.

When host Jane Lynch opened the Emmys on Sunday night, she did so with with a song and dance routine that depicted the “vast wonderland” of television, during which she wandered through an apartment building where many of the casts from the top TV shows appeared to live and/or work.

Legendary television personality Regis Philbin will be honored at the 2008 Daytime Emmys with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The Daytime Emmys will be held in Los Angeles on June 20.

The Emmy nominations have been announced and, much to my pleasure, Desperate Housewives was pretty much shut out, except for a nod to Alfre Woodard for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy. Since DH is one of the most overrated shows on television, this doesn’t bother me much. Here are the nominations:
