Ellen Pompeo Gives Birth To Baby Girl Stella Luna

Ellen Pompeo, best known for her role the title character on the ABC medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, and her record producer hubby Chris Ivery welcomed a baby girl last week.

“Her name is Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery,” the actress’ rep tells Us Magazine. “She was born Sept. 15.”

Chris and Ellen met at a local Whole Foods in 2003 and wed in New York City in 2007.

The sixth season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy airs this Thurs., September 24.

The weekend whines down with big baby news for one Grey’s Anatomy star.

Ellen Pompeo, best known for her role as Dr. Meredith Grey on the Emmy-winning medical drama, is pregnant!

Ellen and her music producer husband, Chris Ivery, are expecting their first child, due later this year, PEOPLE reports.

The 39-year-old actress married Ivery, 41, in November 2007 New at City Hall in New York. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg officiated.

Covered with just a sheet and a killer pair of Christian Louboutin pumps, actress Ellen Pompeo is showing off her full “Anatomy” in the October issue of Allure, on newsstands September 23.

“I love it,” Ellen says of the fashion-forward photoshoot that features her scantily-clad in trendy gear from the 1920s through the 1960s. “No one loves to play dress up more than me!”

So what does hubby Chris Ivey think of Ellen’s racy photoshoot:

“He’s probably going to be jealous,” she says with a laugh. “But he’s not gonna find out, is he?”

The National Enquirer reports: Ellen arrived on the set after the Oscars and spotted a huge gold star adorning her rival’s dressing room door! Blowing her cool, Ellen raged to bosses: “She’s not the star of this show!” Dumbfounded execs discovered Patrick Dempsey had tacked the star on Katherine’s door as a joke – and when they ordered it removed, Dr. McDreamy exploded at Ellen, snarking she’s jealous because Katherine really has become the show’s break-out star!
