Elisha Cuthbert has been cast the female lead in ABC’s comedy pilot Happy Endings – fueling reports that executives at FOX have decided to end their long-running hit 24 after the current series. Cuthbert is best known for playing Jack Bauer’s daughter on the series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project revolves around a bride — played by Elisha — and a groom who, after breaking up at the altar, must figure out how they and their four friends can maintain their relationship. The friends include Eliza Coupe, Casey Wilson, and Damon Wayans Jr.
Rumor: Justin Timberlake been getting his moan on on the down low with sexy 24 star Elisha Cuthbert, a new report claims. According to the tabloid scoop, Justin is so taken with Elisha he’s prepared to date her exclusively and plans to dump his longtime girlfriend — Summer Catch cutie Jessica Biel — sometime in the coming weeks. Ironically, JB has spent the week dodging rumors that she got a little too close for comfort with rapper Lupe Fiasco during a charity trek up Mount Killimanjaro last week.

“I don’t check,” the 24 star tells the mag, which arrives on newsstands this Tuesday. “In fact, I don’t read any Internet stuff. It seems like a dark and evil place. I mean, I don’t need to know that Joe in his basement in Nebraska prefers Jessica Alba.”
