“It really changes your perspective on the world,” Pitt, 42, said of having children. Interviewed on “The Today Show” Monday morning, Pitt reported that he shares Angelina Jolie’s beliefs regardining humanitarian issues and that his children have played a vital role in changing his attitude towards life.
His children, Maddox, 4, Zahara, 1 and 6-week old daughter Shiloh have helped Pitt take the focus off himself and his own needs. “I’m so tired of thinking about myself,” he said.
As far as parenting goes, Pitt couldn’t be happier. “It’s a true joy, [and] a very profound love.” He even admitted that with Shiloh, if he “can get a burp out of that little thing, [he] feels such a sense of accomplishment.”
Ah, parenthood. Read more about Pitt’s thoughts on children as well as his humanitarian causes here.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell, 36, was sued a third time on Thursday following an incident where an employee said she attacked her.
Facing charges for two cases where she allegedly attacked her housekeepers, Campbell is no stranger to the court scene. Campbell’s former assistant, Amanda Brack, filed claims that she suffered from “verbal, physical and emotional attacks” by the supermodel shortly after her employment began last year.
Brack’s lawyer claims his client was “assaulted and abused” at least four times, once even being slapped across the face with Campbell’s Blackberry and slammed against a wall.
Brack is seeking damages for the emotional toil and physical pain she has endured, but the amount she’s sueing for remains undisclosed. She’s the third in a line of employees who have allegedly been hurt by Campbell’s temper tantrums.

Are you planning a surprise birthday party with a big budget and looking for a way to make it truly memorable? Here’s an idea: For $20,000, Kevin Federline will reportedly grace you and your guests with his presence.
(Read the full story at MSN Gossip)
The self-rental business isn’t all Federline is doing to bring in some extra spending money. Federline also has several promotional deals in the works and is planning his own line of jeans and “beach jewelry.”
But of course these projects all take a far back burner to the August release of his new album, Crossroads. The album, according to Federline, “is sure to set the dance floors across the world on fire!”
Set them on fire… like by inspiring arson? If there’s anyone left out there who hasn’t yet heard the album’s song “Popozoa,” which was leaked to the press a few months ago, check it out and decide what kind of fires it will be setting for yourself. I especially like the close-ups in which Federline looks disoriented, surprised, and even confused by his own music.
Britney Spears, 24, is expecting her second child with husband Kevin Federline sometime in October. Already a mother to Sean Preston, 10 months, she posed nude on the cover of August’s Harper’s Bazaar.
Despite being pregnant and naked on one of the world’s most popular magazines, she told Harper’s that “You don’t feel the most beautiful all the time.”
“I’m not supposed to be this big huge pregnant superstar,” Spears has said. “[People] expect [me] to look a certain way.”
Well, she definitely can’t rock the schoolgirl outfit that shot her to fame and stardom, but Spears claims once baby number 2 is out of the way, she’s “going to get really intense with [working out].”
Her plans also include heading back to the recording studio, where she hopes to work with Federline, 28.
Grammy-winning country singer LeAnn Rimes, 23, is doing well after having surgery for a leg infection on Tuesday.
“She is doing just fine,” Rimes’s rep, Diane Baron, said in a statement to the press earlier this week.
Suffering from a tear in her leg tissue that then became infected, Rimes was forced to cancel three performances on her “This Woman” tour, resulting in hundreds of disappointed fans.
Rimes is scheduled to begin touring again July 19th in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.
On Tuesday, a spokeswoman for Pink Floyd said that Syd Barrett, co-founder of one of the most influential bands of all time died at the age of 60.
While the cause of death wasn’t commented on, the death did occur several days ago. Though Barrett chose to remain in hiding over the last several years, it’s a well-known fact that he suffered from diabetes for many years.
Throughout his life, Barrett (born Roger Keith Barret) wrote several of Pink Floyd’s songs and actually launched the band in 1965. A brilliant guitarist of his time, his prominent LSD use proved to be his downfall and he split from the band in 1968.
While he did release two solo albums afterwards (The Madcap Laughs and Barrett) he eventually retired from the music business entirely.
Carlos Castenedo was “draped” in Columbia last weekend as he was chosen to be the new “Juan Valdez.” Coffee drinker everwhere (except Starbucks) can tell you that while Carlos isn’t a celebrity, his character is a superhero!
The media loves to label. You know what I’m talking about, it’s like one of those psychology word-association tests. Say the first word that comes to mind when you hear the following names:
Olsen twins – anorexic!
Paris Hilton – dirty!
Jessica Simpson – stupid!
and of course, Tom Cruise – crazy!
But come on, people. In a recent msnbc.com article , Cruise is accused of being paranoid and forcing the “scientology way of life” onto baby Suri simply because 2 1/2 month old Suri has not yet made a public appearance. Since when has thinking that the paparazzi’s noise and flashbulbs might not be great for an 10-week-old baby become religious extremism? I can’t help but think that if it was someone like Gwenyth Paltrow, who the media loves, sheltering her baby from the limelight that the media would put an enterely different spin on it.
