Duffy was unveiled as the new face of Diet Coke’s UK ad campaign in a commercial that debuted during the 2009 Brit Awards in London Wednesday night.

Speaking of the Brits, the Welsh singer was a big hit at last night’s ceremony, taking home three of the four gongs she was nominated for.

Native Brit Duffy took the stage to sing her runaway smash “Mercy” at the 2008 MTV EMA in Liverpool Thursday.

British pop star Duffy performs “Stepping Stone,” the fourth single off of her gold-selling debut LP, Rockferry, in this video clip from the October 28 episode of The View.

And guess which View hostess had a hand in inspiring Duffy’s signature blue-eyed soul sound? None other than Whoopi Goldberg.

“My first introduction to soul music was Sister Act, so I’m having a Whoopi moment. I’ve gone full-circle.”
