Hollywood sweetheart Drew Barrymore is reportedly consulting her attorneys about possible legal action against online gossip Perez Hilton. In his new book, True Bloggywood Stories: The Glamorous Life of Beating, Cheating and Overdozing, Barrymore’s longtime foe claims the former child star’s sober image is a facade.

“She was f**ked-up. She’s always f**ked-up… She is not the sober kitten that the main public may think she is,” Hilton writes.

The Charlie’s Angels actress struggled with addiction for much of her earlier life, but kicked her addictions with a stint in rehab in the early 1990s. Earlier this year, Drew insisted she doesn’t claim to be sober, but she’s found a “balance” that works.

Drew Barrymore aggravated organizers at the Toronto International Film Festival after failing to show up at a press event for her directorial debut Whip It.

The star skipped the scheduled press junket for the upcoming roller derby movie, which stars Oscar-nominated actress Ellen Page and hip-hop star Eve, at the Canadian festival over the weekend. Barrymore blamed a sore throat for the absence, but sources tell The New York Post the actress was feeling ill after partying too hard at the star-studded festival earlier in the week.

“They had a press junket for Whip It at the Park Hyatt, and Drew completely bailed. The reason she cancelled is supposedly because she lost her voice.”

Drew Barrymore has sparked speculation that her on-again/off-again romance with Justin “The Mac Guy” Long is on downtime after the actress was seen enjoying an “intimate dinner” with Entourage star Adrian Grenier.

Drew and Adrian met for a meal at the Cliff’s Edge Restaurant in Los Angeles over the weekend, sparking speculation that the former child star has once again split from her He’s Just Not That Into You co-star.

“Drew and Adrian looked really comfortable with each other – Justin certainly seemed like the last thing on her mind,” says a spywitness.
