Brody tells Closer Magazine he hasn’t seen much of his baseball sluggin’ buddy since Reinhardt reconciled with the high-maintenence socialite in August and insists their friendship is now over.

“We used to be best friends, now I never see him. Some people are so involved in relationships they lose their other friends. Partners come and go your friends are there for you always. I’m done. Paris has taken him away.”

The Hilton Family is speaking out against socialite Paris Hilton’s former boyfriend Doug Reinhardt, suggesting that the former minor league baseball player and star of MTV’s The Hills and used the socialite to boost his profile.

Doug and Paris date for six months before their split earlier this month.

“The stories out there about our family not approving of their relationship are completely true,” Paris’ aunt, Kyle Richards, said in an interview with E! Online late last week.

“Doug was riding Paris’s coattails. The break-up affected me in a good way. It’s definitely time for Paris to move on,” she added.

Kathy Hilton, Paris’ mother, is also delighted that her 28-year-old daughter is no longer seeing Doug, 24: “I think Paris needs to be with someone who is a bit more mature, older and has their own thing.”

Looks like the split between Paris Hilton and her now ex-boyfriend Doug Reinhardt is heating up. On Friday, the former Hills star released a press statement remarking that he will not get involved in the “ridiculous media circus” surrounding his former “future wife.”

Paris is now being romantically-linked to Real Madrid soccer ace Cristiano Ronaldo after the pair were photographed partying together at MyHouse Nightclub in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

“Kendhal knows Brody and Doug, and so they were talking and catching up. They all took a shot and were watching the Lakers game,” according to the rep. “But Paris got word that Doug was at the bar, and she showed up and started going at it.”

“Paris was picking up ice and fruit and throwing it at Kendhal — she was the victim. Kendhal did nothing offensive or aggressive. Paris was throwing accusations, calling her names. It was the same thing you always hear about Paris and her tirades.”

Doug Reinhardt has come down with a serious case of “The Stalkers” after heartbreaker heiress Paris Hilton dumped the former MTV reality star without provocation on Wednesday.

Paris’s rep confirmed that the duo had split in a statement released yesterday afternoon. “In response to the inquiry on whether Paris Hilton has split up with Doug Reinhardt, yes, this is true they are no longer together,” said the spokesperson.

Humiliated Doug, who in the last few months couldn’t contain his feelings for the socialite, seemed to have no idea he was set to be kicked to the curb during an interview given just hours before the split.

“No, that’s not true. Everything is OK between us,” Doug replied when asked if he and Paris were still together.

He has made repeated visits to her home in the hours since the breakup, sources say.

“Paris lives in a gated community and the guards were told not to let him in. Doug refused to leave, though. The authorities had to be called!”

According to The Globe, Paris and Doug spent a day stocking up on pillows, towels, sheets, toothbrushes, and other household must-haves for their new rented mansion in the Hollywood Hills late last month. The couple had reportedly filled eight shopping carts with new items for their home by the time they finally made it to the checkout. Unfortunately, neither celeb had enough cash and credit between them to cover the $7,000 bill!

“She ended up paying for half, and went back the next day for the rest,” says a witness.

I don’t know what’s more unbelievable about this story, the fact that Paris might actually shop at Bed Bath & Beyond or that Doug didn’t reach into his own wallet and try to pick up the tab!

Paris Hilton not welcome on a yacht? Puhleeze! The fame-seeking heiress has taken to her MySpace Blog to debunked reorts that she and boyfriend Doug Reinhardt were kicked off a yacht in Cannes last week for some stomach-turnng public displays of mating.

Paris writes: “That story some tabloid ran about my boyfriend and I on a yacht is such a lie that it’s a joke! That was my good friend’s boat and first of all she would never ask me to leave and second of all I would never do that.”

The heiress goes on to complain about the media creating bogus stories about her. So what else is new? She adds, “It’s so lame that people will just create these crazy stories. I can’t believe the stories people will make up, so gross! I’m so sick of all these false rumors, it’s not fair that writers can get away it. They have no credibility.”

The couple was asked to leave the boat after the spent nearly an hour having one another’s neck for dinner.

“As soon as Paris arrived she had her tongue down Doug’s throat. Everyone kept saying how inappropriate they were being but Paris didn’t care who was looking,” one furious spywitness told The British Mirror on Sunday. “They got so worked up she dragged Doug below deck so they could have some private time. But as they were closing the cubicle door so they could tear into each other, they were caught out. David spotted them and the captain was furious. He kicked them off for unsociable behaviour. Everyone congratulated the captain.”
