New Year’s Eve just isn’t New Year’s Eve without “America’s Oldest Teenager” Dick Clark.
ABC will air a 2-hour tribute to the late icon before its iconic New Year’s Rockin’ Eve broadcast in New York. Clark, who saw his speech severely altered by a stroke in 2004, died in April at the age of 82.
New Year’s Eve will never be the same. Legendary entertainment mogul Dick Clark, remembered as the pioneer of television’s American Bandstand, the American Music Awards and ABC’s annual New Year’s countdown special — Rockin’ Eve, succumbed to a massive heart attack in Santa Monica on Wednesday.
A critical piece of PopCulture for the last 60 years, Dick Clark, passed away this morning at the age of 82. Clark, who suffered a massive stroke in 2004, appears to have suffered a heart attack this morning. Dick leaves behind 3 children and his wife, Kari Wigton. Read the rest of this entry »
