Williams — who departed her role as Wilhelmina Slater when the network pulled the plug on Ugly Betty last month — is venturing over to The Alphabet’s other hit dramedy to stir up a ruckus on Wisteria Lane, TV Guide has learned.

ABC is putting together a settlement — a peace package, so to speak — to pursade actress Nicollette Sheridan to drop her $20 million lawsuit against Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry.
According London’s Daily Express, network executives can’t stand the idea of a courtroom showdown between Cherry and Sheridan — who claims her former boss assaulted her on set during a dispute over a script in 2008 — therefore, ABC is working to come up with a financial “kiss-off” for the actress.

Wisteria Lane’s own Teri Hatcher will be doling out advice to women with a new site called GetHatched.com launching in May.
“I have a compelling passion to be a woman with other women. We’re the caregivers, the teachers, the lovers,” Hatcher, who stars as Susan Meyer on TV’s Desperate Housewives, says of her new venture.

Desperate Housewives’ Dana Delany has prompted speculation that she may be departing the Emmy-winning dramedy after entering negotiations for a starring role in a new drama coming to ABC, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Delany — who plays Katherine Mayfair on DH — is a strong contender for the lead role on Body of Evidence — an upcoming pilot about a sharp medical examiner. If the show is picked up by The Peacock The Alphabet Network, it would likely mark the end of Dana’s days on Wisteria Lane.
