Former Law & Order star Dennis Farina has been charged with three misdemeanor weapons charges after police say they found a .22-caliber handgun in his briefcase as he tried to board a place bound for Chicago from LAX Airport last month. He has been charged with one count each of carrying a weapon into a secured area, possession of a concealed weapon, and possession of a loaded weapon in a public place. Farina, a retired nineteen year veteran with the Chicago Police was reportedly “apologetic and cooperative” following the incident, telling authorities he forgot he was carrying the weapon.

Actor Dennis Farina, currently in the movie “What Happens in Vegas,” has been charged with a felony for having a loaded .22-caliber handgun in his carry-on luggage at LAX.
Farina claims to have forgotten that he had the gun on him.
