The X-Factor began this week with high praise for new judges, Brittany Spears and Demi Lovato.

Creator and head judge, Simon Cowell, is opening up about the young star of his show, Demi Lovato. Simon recently told YoungHollywood.com, “I like the fact, with Demi, that she was this sort of Disney product who went bad, and knows that she went bad. Former Disney star, Demi Lovato, has regained control of her life.

Lovato, who was forced into rehab two years ago, is now back on top with new music and a new spot on Simon Cowell’s X Factor. “There were times I felt so anxious, almost like I was crawling out of my skin – that if I didn’t do something physical to match the way I felt inside, I would explode,” Lovato, 19, says in the new issue of Self Magazine. “I cut myself to take my mind off that. It’s official: It looks like the Goss Gawkers were on to something. On Monday, Fox confirmed that pop princess Britney Spears and sometimes troubled former Disney kid Demi Lovato will be joining Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid on the upcoming second season of the The X Factor.
