Sex-crazed star David Duchovny is suing Britain’s Daily Mail for $1 million in damages after the tab claimed the Californication star had an affair with his tennis instructor, Edit Pakay.

“This is false. It never happened,” David suit states.

Edit Parkay, tennis coach to the stars, has alluded that she is having an affair with David on the heels of actress Tea Leoni’s announcement that she has separated from the recently-rehabbed sex addict.

“We have a very, very close friendship,” says Edit Pakay, David’s tennis coach. “I don’t want to be the third person in the marriage but I know it can be seen that way. David and I are very close friends and we still play tennis together. He’s an excellent player. He likes physically strong, fit women.”

“I don’t want to say anything that might hurt David. I am not going to deny it. I don’t know what our relationship means to him.”

“The physical side of it has been going on for at least six months, probably longer,” an insider says. “The reason she won’t tell everything is because she thinks David is going to be with her.”

Californication star David Duchovny is asking for “respect and privacy” from the public after entering a rehabilitation facility seeking treatment for a sex addiction.

“I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction,” the actor says in a statement to People. “I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.”

The 48-year-old actor, best known for his starring role on the ’90s science-fiction drama The X-Files. has been married to actress Téa Leoni since 1997. They have two children together, a daughter Madelaine West, 9, and a son Kyd, 6.
