David Cook, the reigning champion of American Idol, has just released his first single. Entitled “Light On,” the track preludes Cook’s still untitled debut album, scheduled for release on November 18.

American Idol winner David Cook talked about the 2008 Idols Live Tour on Jimmy Kimmel Live July 9th.

David Cook has inked a deal to endorse Skechers footwear. The creative crooner will be featured in a number of print promotional campaigns for the casual shoe collection through December 2009.

“I have always viewed Skechers as a cool company, so I am excited to be a part of their campaign,” the reigning champion of American Idol said in a statement on Wednesday.
