According to recent reports, the illusionist is engaged to wed French model Alizee Guinochet after reportedly proposing marriage to the beauty on his 36th birthday on April 4.

David and Alizee, 23, were spotted in Central Park sporting matching “pre-engagement” rings last weekend, The New York Post has learned.

Uh-oh. It looks like David Blaine’s so-called Dive of Death didn’t quite go according to plan. So much for “vanishing into the night!”

David Blaine’s latest stunt is being criticized by fans who claim the illusionist is cheating by taking ten-minute rest breaks every hour.

The thrill-seeker is presently hanging over Central Park’s Wollman Rink. David ignored repeated doctors’ warnings that this stunt could be dangerous, is taking breaks because he feels like his head it is “about to explode-” plus he needs to make occasional trips to the restroom.

“It’s cheating,” Chris Pirri, 24, of Long Island, told the New York Daily News on Wednesday. “I’ve been here ten minutes and already saw him take a break.”

“I’m not going to pee all over myself to satisfy those people. It’s pretty hard-core, worse than I thought,” a defiant David says of the cheating accusations.

David will end his 60-hourhang over New York’s Central Park on a live ABC special later this evening.

Somebody’s gotta find David Blaine a new hobby. The thrill-seeking magician has begun his latest stunt-stringing himself upside down above Central Park’s Wollman ice skating rink, where he plans to hang out for 60 hours despite repeated warnings from doctors that his latest high-risk routine could leave him blind or cause life-threatening brain-swelling.

The spectacle is due to conclude on a primetime television special, called Dive of Death, which will air on ABC this Wednesday.

The professional thrill-seeker’s latest death-defying stunt includes hanging from a thin wire five stories up in the air in Central Park’s Wollman Rink for three days and nights. ABC will air the record-breaking attempt in a television special scheduled to air next month.

“How will he exit from his perch overlooking New York City? Details of Blaine’s heart-stopping plunge at the conclusion of the special are a closely-guarded secret. He will surprise us all — live – on a new, two-hour ABC primetime special, David Blaine: Dive of Death, on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. ET.”

David Blaine will try to break the Guinness World Record for underwater breath holding during a live appearance on Oprah April 30th. The Guinness World Record is currently sixteen minutes and fourteen seconds.

In a blogging rant on Myspace, a waitress at the Rose Bar in New York’s Gramercy Park neighborhood has accused illusionist David Blaine of constantly harassing her for a date.

In a blog entitled “Fuck David Blaine,” the cocktail waitress says:

“After I had to remove two of his friends from one of our VIP guests tables, he turned on what he likes to call ‘his charm’ . . . He decided to tell me how he made his first million when he was 20 years old and started asking me all of the typical questions . . ‘Where are you from?’ ‘Why did you move to New York?’ After I an swered all of them . . . he told me he was David Blaine. Wow! Who gives a [bleep]? . . . After he reassured me that he would never pursue me . . . he asked, ‘Are you on the menu . . . can I have you? You are just so gorgeous!”

Team David describes the martini mixer as a “nutjob:”

“This woman is crazy – she is a nut job. Yes, his friends were removed from the table, but it was no big deal. He didn’t really have any contact with her after that except for ordering drinks.”

Management at the Rose Bar maintains that D.B has always been a “perfect gentlemen” while visiting their establishment. The bar also reports that the blogging waitress will be fired.
