“What can you possibly buy the multi-millionaire, superstar footballer who has absolutely everything?” a source blabbed to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper on Wednesday.
“In the case of David Beckham, the answer is, obviously, a pair of cuddly designer piglets. Victoria fell in love with them and realized she’d found the perfect present.”

The Beckham – who have three children, Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, seven, and Cruz, four – are not the only celebs taking up the mini pig craze. Earlier this month, Paris Hilton adopted a micro-pig called Miss Pigelette.

“Micro pigs are incredibly clean and easy to train. They will be given the run of the place and could even end up watching TV on David and Victoria’s laps.”

An image of Beckham snapped by Sam Taylor-Wood has been sold to the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, which will use it to decorate condom wrappers.

Becks was snapped busily texting away while behind the wheel on his way home from training on Wednesday. In pictures posted on RadarOnline.com, the 34 year old can be seen taking both hands off the wheel as he clutches the device — breaking a law banning the use of handheld phones behind the wheel. The news comes just a week after California’s First Lady Maria Shriver was caught chatting on her cell while driving.

Kim met David through MySpace in August; she liked his rendition of Lionel Richie’s “Hello.” David was still dating Idol Season 2 finalist Kimberly Caldwell when the pair quickly began chatting about their families, their careers, and past relationships. Once David was free, he and the new Kim hooked up. But as their one year anniversary approached and news of the relationship hit the tabs, Kim says the crooner became increasingly frantic about how his fans would accept the May/December romance.

She tells Star: “I was going to meet David at a concert in Tennessee, then he texted me: ‘We can still talk, but I can’t be seen with you right now.’ I was really hurt and I started crying when he called the next day. The soccer ace was flying home from a match in London last week and was detained while his 12 bags were searched by officials, a source tells Britain’s The Sun newspaper.

Ironically, the soccer ace and the fashion-forward former Spice Girl were once so close to Tom and Katie that Tom inspired the name of the youngest of the couple’s three sons, Cruz Beckham. But the days of family fun days at L.A. Galaxy games are over for The Beckhams and The Cruises, who rarely see one another.

“Victoria and David have moved on from Tom and Katie,” Taylor tattles in the Sept. 21 issue of NW Magazine. “They used to do everything together, but now they only meet up very occasionally. Now, they’re hanging with Demi and Ashton … They’ve expanded their social network.”

In the commercial, the soccer icon will reportedly be seen playing the sport on a Los Angeles beach.

The Sun reports: “It will be a massive campaign. It shows the governor believes David is a big catch in getting tourists to visit.”

“After an evening with David, Tom decided to have a friendly chat with Victoria about the family’s future, saying it was because he cared so much about all of them,” a source revealed to The Daily Express over the weekend.

Tom’s pep talk has since has had a “profound effect” on Posh, who is looking for ways to make things easier for David as he struggles through a tough time in his career.

“They love each other dearly but Tom is a big believer in talking about issues. He could see they were both worried about the future and what it might hold,” the source added.

“He talked to her about David ageing, his football career, the pressures of disgruntled fans, his loneliness when away from the family and how time apart is how marriages can fall apart. Victoria knows that Tom has a point because she saw how their recent trip to the Seychelles really improved their relationship. It seems his heart to heart made a huge impact on her.”

David has had a series of heated arguments with LA Galaxy fans after returning from his temporary spell with AC Milan — where he had hoped to stay on with the European team.

Victoria had to be comforted by family friend Tom Cruise when David was jeered by fans at a home match nearly two weeks ago, the singer-turned-fashion designer is said to have been extremely shaken by the hostile atmosphere.

“David arguing with fans doesn’t really fit in with that image and she was embarrassed.”

Shooting will begin next month on Shaq’s Shaq vs. reality show, which will see him take on his rival sporting peers at their own game. The Cleveland Cavs star is already set up a swimming battle against Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps, a boxing bout against former world champion Oscar De La Hoya, and a tennis game against Serena Williams — but it’s Becks that he wants.

In one Tweet, Shaq writes: “Dear David Beckham. I know you have heard about my Shaq Vs show, anyway u (sic) will never score a goal on me. I challenge you, lil’ man.”

In another, he remarks: “David Beckham, I know you hear me. Don’t be scared, don’t make me call u (sic) out. U (sic) will never score a goal on me. Don’t make me Tweet to two million people that yur (sic) scared of Shaq, u (sic) better respond, if u (sic) scared get a dog.”
