David Arquette has issued a public apology after falling under public scrutiny for a remark he made about Latin women on live television last week.

Last Friday, the star appeared on The FOX News Channel’s Fox & Friends, where he offered up this analysis of Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor — and all other Latinas.

“I think Latina women are, I mean, it depends on the woman, but there are some that are just nuts,” David said.

He added, “…..I’m from Los Angeles so we know all about the Latina women.”

David quickly retracted his comments after a number of Latino/Hispanic-interest groups branded his remarks racist.

“I would like to issue and apology for the comments. I have nothing but love and respect for Latina women and women in general.”

Real life couple David Arquette and Courteney Cox will face a killer for a fourth time!

The husband and wife acting duo will reprise their roles as Deputy Dewey Riley and pitbull newswoman Gale Weathers in the upcoming slasher flick Scream 4, David has revealed.

“We are going to be doing ‘Scream 4,’” the actor told E! Online’s Marc Malkin during a Feeding America charity campaign in New York City on Tuesday,.

“I fell in love with my wife on ‘Scream,’ so the opportunity to bring [Deputy Dewey Riley] back to life and for my wife to play that really bitchy character again, it’s just going to be really fun,” David said. “It’s just great.”

He added, “Kevin Williamson is writing the script at this moment, and hopefully Wes Craven is going to direct.”

Although Williamson recently said Neve Campbell — series heroine Sindey Prescott — is not on board for the next installment, David is still hopeful that she’ll reprise her role.

“I hope Neve does it,” he said. “I really hope so.”

One of the happiest couples in Hollywood, Courtney Cox and David Arquette attribute their 7-year long marriage to genuine affection, laughs — and therapy.

“We were just in Sardinia for vacation,” Cox reported to Life Magazine. “We got into these fights two nights in a row over stupid stuff… [and] I can see how relationships break up if you don’t go ‘What are we doing?!’,” she added, saying that they went to a therapist soon thereafter to work out these little tiffs.

In addition to marriage counseling, Cox, 41 has also started seeing a therapist of her own. She says that although she’s a great caretaker, “one thing [she's] not great it is taking care of [herself.]”

“My goal for this part of my life is to be more nurturing to myself,” Cox reported.

While Cox and Arquette are hoping for a second child, don’t expect the tabloids to be all over a burgeoning stomach just yet. “We’re just revving up the engines,” Cox says.
