Never one to mince words, outspoken Dancing With The Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy has revealed that he no longer likes his former fiancee — and fellow DWTS star — Karina Smirnoff.
Debi Mazar is the newest DWTS’ newest castoffs. Tough-talking actress and her pro partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, were eliminated from Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday night’s results show.
Although Republican “Hammer” Tom DeLay was forced to drop out of the competition after suffering stress fractures in both feet, Debi and Maks were sent packing after earning the lowest number of votes.
Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay will not continue competing on the ninth season of Dancing With The Stars after suffering stress fractures in both feet, the tough Texan announced during Tuesday night’s Results Show.
Has fierce Texan Tom DeLay taken his last dance on Dancing with the Stars?
Sources tell PEOPLE that the former House majority leader will hang up his dancing shoes on tonight’s DWTS results show after battling through a painful stress fracture. Despite warnings from his physician and even show producers, DeLay — who was paired with former two-time champion Cheryl Burke — chose to perform last night after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in each of his feet.
“They’re starting to tell me I shouldn’t have done this,” the Republican said of his feet, which had to be encased in orthopedic booties after the show. “I ice them. I’ve got a bone stimulator machine that I put on them.”
It’s Latin Dance Week on Dancing With The Stars and Mya’s sexy rumba with pro partner Dmitry Chaplin earned the “Fallen” singer the first 10s of the season on last night’s show.
“I had chills the whole time,” said judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who gave the couple a 10. Judge Bruno Tonioli agreed, saying, “You put all of America in the mood for love… fabulous,” before also presenting the couple with a 10. The sometimes hard-nosed Len Goodman gave them a score of 7, criticizing Chaplin for his over-complicated choreography.
Has Dancing With The Z-Listers claimed another casuality? Aaron Carter has been injured on the set of ABC’s ballroom reality competition, Dancing With The Stars.
A rep for the singer tells The Insider that the crooner injured his knee this afternoon during rehearsal with his partner Karina Smirnoff. While medics tried icing Aaron’s bum knee, he may not dance on tonight’s show.
Aaron is the latest of several competitors on the ninth season of Dancing With The Stars to suffer series-related injuries; former House Majority Leader Tom Delay and Entourage star Debi Mazar have also been injured in rehearsals for the show in recent weeks.
Dancing With The Stars pro Lacey Schwimmer is stepping into a new career as a pop diva.
Lacey hopes to follow the steps to success first achieved by DWTS-hoofer-turned-country-cutie Julianne Hough and Hough Ballas Band by dancing her way to a successful music career, Life & Style claims.
Lacey is signed to WMS Entertainment Group and EMC Bower and is ready her debut album for a 2010 release. Read the rest of this entry »
Hey guys, did you catch Selena Gomez’s live performance on Dancing With The Stars earlier this evening? The Disney teen star turned the show out with a rendition of her hit single “Falling Down.”
Tonight’s bottom three came down to Kathy, Debi Mazar, and Louie Vito. Unfortunately, it would be the last dance for lackluster former model Kathy Ireland, who was given her walking papers from the ballroom competition after tying with former Congressional “Hammer” Tom DeLay for the lowest score of the night — an 18 — on Monday’s performance show.
Dancing With The Casualities has claimed another victim. Exuberant ballroom diva Lacey Schwimmer has “severely strained” muscles in her hips while rehearsing for the ninth season of ABC’s hit reality dance competition, Dancing With The Stars, according to RadarOnline.
The dancer — who is back for her sophomore season on DWTS — strained her hip flexors and abductors while rehearsing with her partner, Iron Chef star Mark Descascos. Lacey will require three weeks of physical therapy and stem shock treatment to stregthen the muscles. Lacey plans to dance her way through treatment.
“I’m doing OK, in a lot of pain but hey — that’s a dancer’s life,” Lacey tells Radar. “Thanks for all your positive thoughts.”
Dancing With The Stars airs Monday Tuesday nights on ABC.
Following elimination, Dancing With The Stars contestants traditionally swing by Jimmy Kimmel Live! for their first post-ousting razing. But on Wednesday night, only three of the four scheduled guests walked out on stage.
After being the first woman eliminated on the ninth season of DWTS, “I Try” singer Macy Gray was reportedly too distraught to appear on the program.
“Macy’s absolutely torn up about being eliminated,” Macy’s professional partner Jonathan Roberts explained. “She put her whole heart into the show. She feels like she let her fans down.”
“What’s a Grammy compared to a mirror ball?” he joked.
“It’s been cool,” Macy said just after learning that she and actor Ashley Hamilton would be the first stars to go home. “Ballroom isn’t my calling exactly, but I learned a little bit and we had a good time.”
