Although the native Alaskan isn’t sure sequins and shimmy-shakin’ are his cup of tea.

She wants to “Dance With Somebody:” Whitney Houston will perform on ninth season finale of Dancing With The Stars, airing Nov. 24, ABC announced Monday.
The resilent powerhouse will join an illustrious season of guest performers on the ballroom reality competition, that has included Susan Boyle, Michael Buble, and Taylor Swift. Whitney will also perform on the American Music Awards, airing on ABC this Sunday, Nov. 22.
On Tuesday night, Aaron Carter was sent home from the ballroom.
Aaron and his professional partner, Karina Smirnoff, just missed out on next week’s Dancing With The Stars semi-finals round, but managed to gain acclaim from judge Len Goodman, who addressed the pop star with an emotional speech.
“I think the dedication that you have shown week after week is absolutely fantastic. You’re an inspiration to all young people that anything is possible and if you were my son I would be so proud of you,” Len told Aaron. “But more important, you be proud of yourself, because you’ve been great.”
“One thing I will always remember and take from this competition is the lessons I learned,” Aaron said to the judging panel. “I’ve grown so much with your compliments and your criticism, so thank you for helping me be able to grow on this show.”

Comedienne Chelsea Handler shares the December issue of Playboy with Dancing With The Stars contestant Joanna Krupa, who is stripping down for the men’s mag for the second time in four years. The swimsuit model was shot in London by acclaimed celebrity photog Rankin — and she couldn’t be more proud of the saucy images.
“There are several great reasons why female celebs line up to shoot Playboy: finally a woman gets paid more than a man for comparable work, she gets to set the rules, gets to be in a real team work with other women, as many key positions at Playboy are in fact held by women!”
Burke, Broadway-bound? PEOPLE sure thinks so! Former Dancing With The Stars champion Cheryl Burke is in discussion to make her Broadway debut in the Tony-winning musical Chicago this winter. “It’s always been a dream of Cheryl’s to perform on Broadway,” a theater tipster told PEOPLE on Wednesday. Cheryl, who is up for the lead role of Roxie Hart in the long-running production, would appear in a limited engagement while DWTS is in the off-season. “She’s excited to show off her other talents besides being a good dancer. She’s been vocally trained and she has a great voice.”
Cheryl was elminated from the ninth season of Dancing With The Stars last month after her celebrity partner, Texas republican Tom DeLay, bowed out of the competition with a season-ending injury.

On Monday night’s performance show, pro dancer Anna Trebunskaya, who was eliminated earlier this season with Chuck Liddell, will be filling in for Lacey Schwimmer with Iron Chef America’s Mark Dacascos, as Schwimmer battles a bout with the flu. Lacey is the third DWTS dancer to get sick with the flu this season; pro dancers Derek Hough and Mark Ballas waged war with the virus last month.
“Guys I’m super sad to be sick today. Ugh,” Lacey Tweeted Monday.
Anna tweeted about working hard at rehearsals with Mark over the weekend, and then tweeted Sunday night: “At this point it is what it is…Fingers crossed. A little luck would be helpful too.”
