Week 2 of Dancing With the Stars closed with a fabulous performance by Derek Hough and country cutie, Kellie Pickler. The pair, who looked great last week, took their competition to a new level when they performed a fabulous modern jazz routine. Kellie received a standing ovation from judge Carrie Ann Inaba last night and even Len said that, “She was on fire.” Kellie earned 2 9′s and an 8 last night for her performance.

Reality aficionados won’t see Honey Boo Boo matriarch June Shannon shaking what her Mama gave her on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars after all. TLC has put the kibosh on rumors that Shannon is joining the upcoming 16th season of the popular dance competition series.
The next cast of fleet-footed celebrities to compete on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars will be revealed Feb. 26 on Good Morning America. The 16th season of TV’s top-rated dance competition series will kick off March 16 with a two-hour premiere episode, the network said Monday.
Dancing with the Stars host Brooke Burke-Charvet was recently diagnosed with a cancerous growth on her thyroid gland.
In a video posted on her ModernMom blog on Thursday, the 41-year-old mother-of-four explained that a nodule was discovered on her thyroid and after a series of tests over the last few months, it was eventually determined to be cancerous. Brooke’s thyroid will have to be removed.
