We hear former Spice Girl Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown is in the running to fill the vacant co-host seat on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. Brown, who will host the forthcoming second season of Oxygen’s Dance Your Ass Off, finished second on a previous season of DWTS.

Mel has also provided commentary on the competition of TV newsmagazine Access Hollywood.

“Dance Your Ass Off” Renewed For Second Season On Oxygen

Oxygen has ordered a second helping of the popular weight-loss show, Dance Your Ass Off.

“We loved watching as contestants danced off nearly 500 pounds,” Amy Introcaso-Davis, Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Development for Oxygen Media, said in a statement Monday.

Dance Your Ass Off, which premiered earlier this year, paired a dozen professional dancers with overweight contestants, who competed to dance off the most weight by the end of the season.

The hit series will return for a second season in 2010.
