It’s raining babies in Tinseltown as 2010 winds to a close!
Shaggy-haired rocker Constantine Maroulis, the Greek god that made the ladies swoon on the fourth season of American Idol, welcomed a daughter with girlfriend Angel Reed this week. The new parents met while co-starring in the hit Broadway musical Rock of Ages.
Reed gave birth to daughter Malena James, who weighed in at 6 lbs. and 11 oz., on Thursday at 11:06 PM, Us Weekly reports.
“Sometimes Christmas comes early and we’re so lucky to get the greatest gift a few days early,” a thrilled Constantine, 35, told the mag in a statement. “Angel and I are thrilled to welcome our perfect baby girl into the world today. Mom and baby are healthy and I couldn’t be more excited to ring in 2011 this way.”
In 2009, Maroulis — who finished sixth on Idol — was nominated for a Best Actor Tony for his lead role in the musical, which follows a pair of young lovers coming of age to the soundtrack of a bevy of rock hits in 1980s Los Angeles.

The show will not go on for knocked up Broadway chorus girl Angel Reed — the dancer has taken a leave of absence from the Great White Way after announcing that she is expecting her first child with on-off BF Constantine Maroulis.

American Idol Season 3 finalist Constatine Maroulis has an interesting idea for how FOX should proceeds after acid-tongued Brit Simon Cowell ditches the TV talent show at the end of the current ninth season — “Can It!”
“It’s unfortunate. He’s a mogul and going to go on to greater and greater things … but the show is really going to miss him,” the Rock of Ages star told PopEater.com last week. “I hope they just end it after this year.”
Former American Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis was physically attacked this week, after defending the honor of exiting Idol judge Paula Abdul to a drunken barfly.

The Tony-nominated Rock of Ages star said something about hoping Paula would eventually return to show and the next thing he knew a tipsy guy in a three-piece suit pushed him to the ground and started throwing punches, according to The New York Daily News.
The man hit and kicked him repeatedly before security stepped in.
“The guy body-slammed him and punched him in the face and then just stood up, straightened his tie, and said, ‘Bitch, don’t you ever,’ before walking away,” a spywitness reports.
Constantine later Twittered about the bizarre ambush.
“I’m FINE! Some drunk dude tackled me in the middle of the concert and jumped on me,” he Tweeted. “Broke up quick, didn’t even know him. Or throw one punch. I don’t mind a fight…but only when its fair and I’m lookin.”
