After 16 years as host of NBC’s Late Night, comic Conan O’Brien tells the May 24 issue of The New York Times Magazine — on newsstands this Sunday — he’s ready to take his place as host of The Tonight Show on June 1.
“A lot of the early stage of the show will probably play off my feeling of being on the moon,” Conan — who is a former writer for The Simpsons and Saturday Night Live — joked to the mag.
“I feel like I’ve been in high school for 16 years. A great high school, but it’s time to graduate.”
