Valerie Bertinelli — whose small screen credits include turns on TV’s One Day at a Time and Touched By An Angel — returns to the tube tonight, appearing alongside Wendie Malick and Betty White in the new TV Land Original Series, Hot In Cleveland.
As part of her promo tour, Bertinelli’s spilling the beans on a brief 2004 encounter with pop powerhouse Christina Aguilera that left the former child star shrugging her shoulders.
“I met her and she was so mean to me. I thought you know what, forget you. She’s too young to be blowing people off. She went to a Van Halen show and I went to go say hi to her. My son was up there, and she’s like, ‘Yeah, okay, bye.’ As I walked away I said to my friend, ‘Did I just get dissed by Christina Aguilera?’ and she said ‘I think you did!’”
On Tuesday night, vocal powerhouse Christina Aguilera performed our National Anthem (Which happens to be “The Star-Spangled Banner,” in case you forgot.) to kick off Game Six of the 2010 NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
A couple of pitchy parts, but overall another outstanding performance from the five time Grammy winner.

Christina Aguilera rocked The Early Show Friday morning with a concert set that aired as part of the morning show’s annual Summer Concert Series. Aguilera kicked off her performances with her latest single, “Not Myself Tonight,” featured on her new album Bionic, which is currently in stores. The Betty Boop doppleganger then took things back to where it all began, belting out her classic hits like “Genie In A Bottle,” “Fighter,” and “What A Girl Wants.”
