Is Christina Aguilera heading back to The Voice?
Looks like Xtina isn’t loving Shakira’s rise to fame in her seat….Christina, who left in December to promote her new album and tour is now set to return for the next season. While NBC couldn’t be reached for comment, TheWrap is confirming that Christina will be earning a cool $17 million for the upcoming season. Christina Aguilera may be sick….but she can still flat out sing!
Tonight on the live episode of The Voice, Christina and fellow-coach, Blake Shelton, performed a brand new single, a duet on Christina’s new album. Just a Fool was simply, awesome! The pair, who say they have been planning a duet for a while now, rocked the stage tonight. They’ll be a new pair of faces perched in the big red chairs when The Voice returns for a fourth season of star-searching in 2013: Shakira and Usher have been tapped to replace Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo Green as mentors on the NBC singing series — at least that’s what Us Weekly is reporting.

Looks like Team XTina won’t be around for season 4.
During an nterview with Billboard Magazine, Christina opened up about her role on the NBC singing competition. The show, “kept me away from my heart, which is creating my own music. It’s been a joy to be a part of other people’s journey, to be able to inspire and be a part of new singers coming up in this business … but I was staring to get really worried and concerned that I wouldn’t have the time to go and be an artist again,” Aguilera said.
Christina says that it will most likely be a one season hiatus, “I’ll probably be back. I just need to do my thing for a minute then I can come back and be that much better of a coach,” she says. “I just need a second to get back to me.”
New music from Christina is scheduled to drop next week with a new album following later this fall.
