Despite previously published reports — and an official confirmation from Jermaine Jackson — controversial crooner Chris Brown will not perform during a tribute concert to the late King of Pop in Vienna later this month.
A rep for the singer tells E! that Chris — who is on probation for assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna — never agreed to join the all-star lineup, featuring Mary J. Blige, Natalie Cole, and Akon, who will pay tribute to his idol in a concert Sept. 26.
“Chris is not confirmed to perform or participate in any capacity for this show,” the publicist for Brown’s label tells E! News.

Chris Brown has issued a statement explaining that an advance clip of his interview with Larry King, set to air on Wednesday night on CNN, has been taken out of context; he does, in fact, remember the domestic assault with pop star Rihanna that led to him pleading guilty to assault earlier this year.
On Monday, CNN released clips on Brown’s interview on Larry King Live, in which the host can be heard asking Brown, “Do you remember doing it?” referring to the beating of his former girlfriend in the early hours of February 8, to which the crooner Brown is heard in the clip replying, “No.”
In his first television interview since his arrest on charges of battering his girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna, the “Kiss Kiss” star reveals that he is still in love with Rihanna, is haunted by her post-assault photo, and doesn’t remember the rage that still stands to ruin his once promising career.

“I just need to prove to people I can be a role model,” Brown, who was accompanied by his mother, Joyce Hawkins, and lawyer Mark Geragos during the interview at CNN Headquarters in Hollywood last Wednesday. “That’s not who I am as a person, and that’s not who I promise I want to be,” the singer laments.

Chris Brown is facing a possible criminal investigation for violating his probation after the crooner hit up a Los Angeles nightclub following his sentencing for beating up ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Chris broke the rules of his probation as he was too young to be in the 21 and up establishment. The disgraced R&B star faced an LA Superior court judge on Tuesday as he was given a five year probation order, as well as six months hard community labor after he was convicted of assaulting his popstar ex last February.

In June, the singer was found guilty of brutally attacking Rihanna after a furious fight after a pre-Grammy party. Brown was accused of viciously punching, biting, and threatening to kill Rihanna. Earlier this week, the “Forever” hitmaker was sentenced to five years probation and six months hard community labor for the assault.

On Tuesday, Chris Brown was to ordered to complete six months of community service as part of his sentence for assaulting singer Rihanna in an altercation earlier this year. A large part of Chris’ community service will include cleaning up some of the graffiti that serves as a canker sore for property owners across the country.
You know, graffiti –just like the kind the once straight-laced R&B prince was seen spray-painting on the side of a building in these pictures snapped earlier this year, right around the same time that he was arrested for putting Rihanna in a chokehold.
Chris Brown and Rihanna were involved in two “domestic violence incidents” before the brawl that led to the crooner’s arrest on felony assault charges earlier this year.

Chris Brown was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from his ex-girlfriend Rihanna for the next five years during a sentencing hearing in Los Angeles Tuesday.
The sentencing was bumped up to at the request of Brown’s legal counsel.
