Charlton Heston Dead at 83; Dies at Family Home
Charlton Heston, known for his larger than life movie roles and as the voice of the National Rifle Association, is dead at the age of 83.
Heston died last night in his Beverly Hills Home, though the cause of death is not yet known to the public. In 2002, it was announced that Charleston Heston was suffering from the onset of Alzheimer’s disease, a degenerative nervous system disorder.
Charlton Heston will be remembered for an American Hero mainly due to his epic portrayals of epic characters such as Ben-Hur and Moses (The Ten Commandments) and also as a staunch supporter of gun rights.
