You have probably seen photos of some crazy car accidents, and you may have even been in one yourself. People get in accidents every day, but they don’t usually make the news. However, when a crazy car accident involves a celebrity, you can always read about it in the gossip column. Here are four of the craziest celebrity car accidents.

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan has been in the newspaper quite often in the past. However, when she crashed her car in 2005, she made the headlines because the crash resulted in her being taken to the hospital. Lohan was driving a Mercedes convertible and was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time. She was shopping and was chased by camera men trying to take photos of her. She crashed into the side of a van and then quickly ran into a nearby shop to avoid the paparazzi. In the end, the driver of the van had to be taken to the hospital along with a passenger in Lohan’s car.

Dennis Rodman

Dennis Rodman escaped being killed while driving with a friend in his Range Rover. One of the tires on the vehicle blew, and the Range Rover flipped over at least three times. Surprisingly, Rodman came away with only a few scratches. This crazy car accident resulted in the other driver having to go to hospital with a deep cut. 

Michael Phelps

Michael Phelps was involved in a three-way car crash. The main cause of the accident was not disclosed, but eyewitnesses said that one of the cars had run a red light. The passenger in Phelps’s car had to be taken to the hospital because she was upset about the accident. Phelps refused to go to hospital to be examined.

Eddie Griffin

Another notable celebrity that was involved in a crazy car accident is Eddie Griffin. He is remembered for crashing his beautiful Ferrari. However, unlike the other celebrities, he did not survive the crash.

Just like the everyday person who has to provide proof of auto insurance when they get in a fender bender, celebrities can be involved in car accidents. Many celebrity car accidents are so severe that it is shocking that they survive. The difference between the average joe and these celebrities is that the rich and famous are able to easily afford a new car.
