Star Trek legend George Takei and husband Brad Altman will go where no gay couple has gone before when they appear on the second season of The Game Show Network’s The Newlywed Game, hosted by Carnie Wilson, this Tuesday.
“George and I are thrilled. It’s pretty historic for us,” Brad said last month. “It’s going to be a great experience for both of us to see how well we really know each other after 22 years together.”
Takei, who played Sulu on the Star Trek television series in the late ’60s, married Altman in September 2008, two months before the California Supreme Court upheld a voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage. Their marriage remains legal.
Brad and Mr. Sulu appear on a special celebrity episode of The Newlywed Game on Tues., October 13 @ 6PM ET/PT.
