Femcee-turned-American Idol judge Nicki Minaj is final negotiations for a role in The Other Woman, a Nick Cassavetes-directed comedy featuring Cameron Diaz.
The storyline finds Diaz as a woman who finds out that she is “the other woman” in a love triangle. She teams up with the wife (played by Leslie Mann) to get revenge on the cheating husband. Nicki is in talks to play Diaz’s thrice-wed, opinionated assistant.
Minaj previously lent her voice to a character in Fox’s Ice Age: Continental Drift.
Drew Barrymore and her BFF, Cameron Diaz, were spotted in Beverly Hills this week, making final wedding preparations. Drew and her fiance, Will Kopelman, are rumored to be trying the knot this weekend. Sony Pictures is plotting One Hit Wonders, a musical comedy starring Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg and celebrity besties Gwyneth Paltrow and Beyonce.
In a concept dreamed up by Glee creator Ryan Murphy, One Hit Wonders shadows a gaggle of washed-up singers who form a girl supergroup in an attempt to stage a chart comeback.
