New Jersey native son Bruce Springsteen posted a statement on his website Tuesday urging support of a gay marriage bill that will be up for vote in New Jersey’s Senate on Thursday.
Rock legend Bruce Springsteen was left shamefaced after he bellowed “Hello, Ohio!” to thousands of fans at The Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan last Friday night. The Boss referred to the neighboring state several times until E Street Band guitarist Steve Van Zandt whispered in his ear. A visibly embarrassed Springsteen grinned and said such a mistake was “every front man’s nightmare,” according to The Detroit Free Press.
Luckily for Bruce, the audience was very forgiving and the “Dancing In The Dark” hitmaker rocked to nearly three hours of new and old hits.

The death of 36-year-old Lenny Sullivan was announced in a statement on Springsteen’s website. Sullivan was found dead at Kansas City’s Intercontinental Hotel hours before Springsteen and the E Street Band were to take the stage. Kansas City police spokesman Capt. Rich Lockhart said officers were investigating the death, although he said it was not suspicious.
The Sprint Center Arena said tickets would be refunded.
