“Brooke broke her hand during rehearsal for the musical ‘Leap of Faith,’” her representative told PEOPLE Magazine Saturday. “The cast will be off before previews on Sept. 11. It was a minor break and did not affect the production schedule.”
Leap of Faith opens Oct. 3 at the Ahmanson Theatre.

According to TMZ.com, the IRS has filed a federal tax lien against the former Suddenly Susan actress, alledging Shields and her husband Chris Henchy owe $4,391.70 in unpaid taxes from 2004 and $5,932.50 from 2005.

A controversial nude image of Brooke Shields, taken when the actress was only 10 years old, has been removed from London’s Tate Modern Gallery after police visited the museum with the concern the flick could be deemed pornographic, Britain’s Daily Telegraph reported Thursday.
“The officers have specialist experience in this field and are keen to work with gallery management to ensure that they do not inadvertently break the law or cause any offence to their visitors,” a Scotland Yard spokesman told the paper.
