Adnan Ghalib, Britney Spears‘ paparazzo ex, has been sentenced to 45 days in jail after pleading no contest to leaving the scene of an accident, TMZ reported Friday.

Unless Britney Spears has developed a penchant for devi worship, the pop tart’s Twitter account has been hijacked by some very mischievous Tweeters — for the second time this year.

A pair of messages purporting that Britney has joined the “Dark Side” were posted to the singer’s account on Thursday.

“I give myself to Lucifer every day for it to arrive as quickly as possible. Glory to Satan,” reads one message.

A second read: “I hope that the new world order will arive as soon as possible! –Britney.”A while later, another message was posted.

“Britney’s twitter account was just hacked,” this one said. “The situation has been resolved and we apologize for any offense the hacker’s messages caused.”

The Tweets have still yet to be removed.

Britney is currently touring Australia, where she has caused controversy by miming through recent gigs.

Britney Spears says read my lips: it’s for the fans!

Brit has a message for critics of her first tour of Australia after it was reported that fans walked out of the pop star’s Australian performance last weekend, describing it as boring, stiff, and filled with lip-synching.

“I hear there is a lot of controversy in the media about my show,” Spears said in a statement this week. “Some reporters have said they love it and some don’t. I came to Australia for my fans.”

Britney, 27, is rebuilding her career after a high profile meltdown in 2008.

Britney Spears has gained an unlikely ally in the lip-synching scandal brewing Down Under. Outspoken rocker John Mayer has jumped to the defense of the pop star, who has been criticized for “performing” pre-recorded numbers during recent concerts in Australia.

Disgruntled audience members slammed the 27-year-old in Australia’s Daily Telegraph Friday for her pre-recorded Circus Tour. “It was a waste of $200 — I could have got four pairs of shoes for that,” one concertgoer complained. For his part, John just can’t understand what all the hoopla is about.

“If you’re shocked that Britney was lip-syncing at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you,” Mayer posted on his Twitter account Sunday night.

Britney Spears is “extremely upset” by false reports fans walked out of her concert in Australia on Friday, branding the show “boring” and “stiff.” Australian media report claim that fans walked out of the first of Spears’ 14 Australian performances — which kicked off in Perth last week — after Britney capped off a weak performance with lip-synching.

The heat is on Down Under. The Australian government is stepping into a lip-synching scandal erupting over portions of Britney Spears’ Perth concert tour. The Minister for Fair Trading is demanding a disclaimer, which states that part of the show is pre-recorded, be placed on all tickets sold to see Britney.

Britney performed to over 17,000 fans at the Perth Burswood Dome last night, but thousands of disgruntled fans — some having paid up to $1,500 per ticket — reportedly stormed out of the Australian debut of The Circus concert, infuriated by the pop singer’s “appalling” performance on stage. Britney’s in Sydney — Take cover!

Britney Spears and her entire “Circus Tour” touched down in Australia Thursday morning.

“Longest flight ever but we had a great time,” Britney Tweeted early Thursday. “Really cool plane and the V staff took great care of us. So excited to be here!”

The pop tart will take the stage in nearby Perth for the first of 15 concerts Down Under on Friday. Tickets are going for up to $1,360 for her shows.

Britney’s Australian “Circus” crewreportedly consists of 225 crewmembers, 45 band members and dancers, and 15 circus performers – plus 150 local workers that are hired in each city that the show plays.

Britney Spears is hoping “3” is her new lucky number. After teasing us with snippets and set photos over the past few weeks, the pop princess unveiled the official music video for her raunchy hit single “3″ on Friday morning.

The song, which BritneySpears.com describes as a “racy paean to the joys of three-way sex,” is part of Britney’s latest Greatest Hits compilation, The Singles Collection, available Nov. 24.
