According to TMZ sources, Brandy has been sued by the family of the woman killed in the Dec. 30th car crash that has the singer facing the prospect of manslaughter charges. The family of Awatef Aboudihaj filed the suit today in Van Nuys, CA.

One day after the California Highway Patrol recommends a manslaughter charge against Grammy Award winner Brandy, a civil rights group claims the singer has been targeted unfairly.

TMZ has received photo footage of the fatal December 30th car crash that has former R&B princess Brandy facing manslaughter charges.

The California Highway Patrol has concluded it’s investigation into Brandy’s Dec. 30th pileup on the Los Angeles 405 and is recommending that the singer be charged with a misdemeanor count of vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence, according to CHP spokesman Leland Tang.
