Two of singers with the most outrageous fashion sense in pop music history may share the stage in a special engagement next month.
Quirky singing sensation Lady Gaga is reportedly hoping to land a duet performance with Culture Club pioneer Boy George when the European leg of her sold-out Fame Monster Tour makes a stop in London this winter. In fact, Georgie and Gaga could perform together at a concert at the famed O2 Arena as early as Feb., says The Sun. The “Poker Face” hitmaker once said that the ’80s icon’s catalogue has had an influence on her charttoppers. Pals say Gaga is ecstatic about the chance to work with the artist:
“Gaga has always been a fan and now he’s got his life back on track it’s the perfect opportunity to do something with him….”
The British justice system just won’t let Boy George be fab!
A British court has blocked an attempt by former DJ and Culture Club singer Boy George to appear on a reality television show. The ’80s music icon has lost a legal bid to change the terms of his probation so he can appear on Celebrity Big Brother. George — real name George O’Dowd — served time in jail for handcuffing Norweigan male escort Audun Carlsento a wall and beating him with a metal chain. He was sentenced to a 15 month term for false imprisonment last January, but released after serving just four.
Boy George has been released from prison eleven months early. The 47-year-old former Culture Club singer – real name George O’Dowd – left Suffolk’s Edmunds Hill Prison Monday morning after serving just four months of his 15-month sentence for the false imprisonment and assault of male escort Audun Carlsen in 2007.
