On Wednesday, Gallery Books — a division of Simon & Schuster — announced that it has inked a publishing deal with the Jack & Coke-soaked barfly for the rights to a work of Adult Fiction tentatively titled A Shore Thing!
Shouldn’t Simon & Schuster reserve their book deals for — Oh, we don’t know…. – people who actually read?! (And last month’s edition of Cosmo doesn’t count, Snooki….)

Burglar-To-The-Stars, Alexis Neiers, the E! reality star who served one month in jail on a felony charge for burglarizing Orlando Bloom’s home, is reportedly shopping a tell-all book about her exploits on the Tinseltown party scene to publishers.
“Think Gossip Girl goes to Hollywood,” a source tells TMZ.
Neiers was a member of the reputed “Bling Ring,” a crew made up of most middle-class teen burglars who broke into the Hollywood estates of a host of celebs — including Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and Rachel Bilson — in the Summer of 2009.
