Humanitarian rocker Bono has been ordered to lose weight before the release of U2’s new album and proposed world tour next year.

“U2 have an album coming out around January. And then the band is going on another world tour in March and April - so the boys have been told to start exercising all the summer weight off,” a source tells the New York Post.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have asked Bono to be the godfather of their newborn twins, Knox and Vivienne; an offer the U2 frontman and humantarian gleefully accepted late last week.

Brad Pitt is taping a television ad for Dell Computers set to air during February’s 2008 Super Bowl. Brad has agreed to shoot the Dell ad and donate his entire salary to U2 rocker Bono’s (Red) Campaign charity benefiting Africa.
