Billy Bob Thornton Booed In Canada–The Boxmasters Tour Cancelled

Billy Bob Thornton and The Boxmasters have scrapped the remainder of their North American dates as Willie Nelson’s tour opening act after fans booed them onstage at a show in Toronto on Thursday night.

The Oscar winner upset Canadian fans during his controversial radio interview on CBC radio last week. He became upset when jock Jian Ghomeshi mentioned his acting career during the show’s opening introductions. Billy insisted his “mashed potatoes with no gravy” comment was not anti-Canadian, adding, “Boo all you want, but I want to say something – we’re really happy to be here.”

Following the disastrous gig, Billy Bob and his country-pop band, The Boxmasters, pulled the plug on the rest of their tour.

“At this time, no reasons have been announced but the remainder of the tour will continue as scheduled without The Boxmasters,” according to a post on Willie Nelson’s official website on Friday.

Billy Bob Thornton released Holy Hell on Canadian Q TV/CBC interviewer Jian Ghomeshi on Wednesday after Jin had the unmitigated gaul to make reference to the Oscar-winner’s acting career in the introduction to a segment about his pop-country band, The Boxmasters.

You could cut the tension with a knife. How uncomfortable. Billy Bob should be thanking Jian for reminding us that he’s still alive!

Angelina Jolie had her ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton’s name tattooed on her “private” area.

Tattoo artist Friday Jones told beauty site Shecky’s that she branded Angelina’s snatch after the star demanded to have Billy Bob’s name tatted on her naughty place.

“I did the secret Billy Bob tattoo that you will never see,” Friday says. “She would come to the house all of the time, because my roommate was her best friend.”

“She was always like ‘Tattoo me! I’m jonesing for another one,’ or ‘I want Billy Bob’s name on me!’ So I put his name down there.” [Note from Shecky's: Yes, that “down there.”]

It’s about to happen, according to the actor who originated the role of the demonic teen killer in eight installments of the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise between 1984 and 1991.

Actor Robert Englund says Billy Bob has agreed to put on Freddy’s signature fedora and glove of knives for an upcoming remake of the original Elm Street movie, the British Sun reported Wednesday.

“A big budget should mean the film will look a lot better than some of the old movies,” Robert revealed, adding that Billy Bob is an “excellent choice” for the role of Freddy Krueger.
