Amy Winehouse and Beyonce Knowles have some new competition in the battle over who will sing the theme song in the forthcoming twenty-second film in the James Bond franchise, James Bond and the Quantum of Solace. Music mogul Simon Cowell is urging the film’s producers to select international chart-topper Leona Lewis for the sought-after gig. Simon is convinced his X-Factor protege would be ideal for the theme because she has experienced massive success in both the UK and the States.

American Express released the latest television promotion for it’s “Are you a Cardmember?” brand campaign, featuring comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and Grammy Award winner Beyonce, on Monday. In the commercial, Ellen searches for her “people” as Beyoncé encourages Ellen to “have your people call my people” to get tickets to her upcoming concert.

No doubt about it, Jay-Z and Beyonce are definitely married. The newlyweds filed their signed wedding license on Friday in Scarsdale, New York, People Magazine has confirmed.

America’s most vigilant animal rights group has finally made peace with Beyonce. After famously confronting the “Crazy In Love” star about her fur-flinging habits during an elaborate meet & greet scam in 2006, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sent Beyonce a elegant faux fur throw in celebration of her nuptials to hip-hop mogul Jay-Z last weekend. Beyoncé and Jay-Z made it official on Friday. Hip-hop’s royal couple were married in a private ceremony at Jay’s New York City loft on April 4th, a friend of the couple tells PEOPLE.

“It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family.”
