Amy Winehouse and Beyonce Knowles have some new competition in the battle over who will sing the theme song in the forthcoming twenty-second film in the James Bond franchise, James Bond and the Quantum of Solace. Music mogul Simon Cowell is urging the film’s producers to select international chart-topper Leona Lewis for the sought-after gig. Simon is convinced his X-Factor protege would be ideal for the theme because she has experienced massive success in both the UK and the States.

American Express released the latest television promotion for it’s “Are you a Cardmember?” brand campaign, featuring comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and Grammy Award winner Beyonce, on Monday. In the commercial, Ellen searches for her “people” as Beyoncé encourages Ellen to “have your people call my people” to get tickets to her upcoming concert.
