
Aretha Franklin, who sang at the first Presidential Inauguration for President Barack Obama has thrown her two-cents worth into the Beyonce ‘lip-synching’ controversy.
“When I heard [she lip-synched] I just really cracked up. I thought it was really funny, but she did a beautiful job with the pre-record,” Aretha said. The Queen of Soul also added, that she “wanted to give people the real thing and pre-recording never crossed [her] mind.”

In case you missed any of today’s coverage of the Presidential Inauguration, allow us to show you a few of the highlights.
In addition to the ceremonial swearing in for the second term of President Obama, Beyonce stepped up to the microphone, accompanied by the Marine Corps Band, and sang her heart out. About 3/4 of the way through the performance, Beyonce pulled her earpiece out and still finished with a flawless performance.
Just incase you were wonderng, the Queen B wore a beautiful velvet and chiffon beaded gown from Emilio Pucci’s pre-fall 2013 collection paired with a luxe fur coat by Dior.
