Filmgoers are obsessed with Beyonce. The Grammy winner’s new movie, Obsessed, soared to No. 1 at the box office this weekend, earning $28.5 million in ticket sales, according to early studio estimates.

The thriller stars the “Halo” singer as the wife of a successful asset manager (Idris Elba) whose co-worker (Ali Larter) begins stalking him, turning their lives upside down.

What a great time for an interview with Beyonce. On The TODAY Show Thursday– still cast-bound and bandaged from his run-in with a deer earlier this month –correspondent Matt Lauer quizzed Ms. Sasha Fierce herself about her new role in the romantic-thriller Obsessed, her upcoming summer tour, and that horrible audio recording of her singing that made the rounds on the blogosphere on Wednesday.

Mrs. Jay-Z called the audio, which was allegedly taken from her live performance of “If I Were A Boy” on TODAY last November, “a complete joke.”
