Police had to be called after one of Jay-Z and Beyonce’s burly bruisers went bananas on Croatian paps, who were eagerly trying to snap photographs of the couple’s romantic evening out in Dubrovnik on Wednesday.

The bodyguard allegedly punched and kicked 57-year-old Dragon Banovic after warning him not to film the couple.

Beyonce has been brushing up on her dancing skills by secretly enrolling in ballet lesson at New York’s acclaimed Alvin Ailey School of Dance.

Beyonce wowed fans when she pirouetted alongside ballet enthusiasts in an open class at the school earlier this summer, a tipster tells Star Magazine.

“She came in like a regular student. No entourage and no attitude.”

Boy, that Jessica Simpson just can’t catch a break.

The newly-single star was in Japan early Tuesday morning when a 6.6 earthquake shook Tokyo shortly after 5 AM.

“thought i was hallucinating durning (sic) a 6.6 earthquake in japan,” Jessica Twittered following the rattling wakeup call from Mother Nature. “i have never felt anything like this in my life. laying in bed watching cnn.”

Kelly Clarkson is once again at odds with RCA Records. This time the dispute is over her new power ballad — which sounds bizarrely like Beyonce’s 2008 hit, “Halo.”

The dispute began after the American Idol Season One champ realized that “Already Gone,” a tune she co-wrote with hit songwriter Ryan Tedder, was a deadringer for another Tedder-penned tune, “Halo.”

Tedder recently confessed that he gave both platinum-selling singers a tune with the same backing track. However, by the time Kelly heard “Halo” and realized the similarities between the tracks, it was too late to make changes to her current album, All I Ever Wanted, which debut last spring. Beyonce referred to Michael Jackson as “Her Hero” as she performed his hit single “I Can’t Help It” in a tribute on the night he died. So she — along with everyone else — may be surprised to learn that MJ was a bit smitten with the curvy diva.

On CBS’ The Late Show Thursday, hip-hop mogul Diddy revealed that the King of Pop showed up — unannounced — to his annual White Party six years begging for a dance with Beyonce.
