Benji has been pals with Hillary Wentz for years, but their relationship slowly became romantic after Benji, 30, found himself down, out, and dumped by heiress Paris Hilton last November.

“Hillary already had a major crush on Benji,” a source close to the new couple tells Star. “She had to sort of win him over, but they started having romantic dinners and spending late nights watching old movies together.”

Benji and Hillary are even bonding over their love of body — – each reportedly has more than a dozen tattoos a piece.

The Star spy adds, “She has this tough-chick energy he’s really into, and they have so much in common.”

Paris Hilton is desperate to win back ex-lover Benji Madden after hearing rumors that the Good Charlotte rocker has been “bumping uglies” with infamous girl kisser Katy Perry.

In terse entry on her official blog Monday, singing star Katy Perry shot down rumors that she is dating Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden.

On Sunday, PEOPLE Magazine claimed the singer, who recently ended a lenghty romance with Travis McCoy of the Gym Class Heroes, was spotted in Las Vegas nightclub on Valentine’s night “cuddling” with Benji.

The “I Kissed A Girl” hitmaker has prompted speculation that she is dating the former boyfriend of heiress Paris Hilton after the pair were spied “cuddling” in Las Vegas over the Valentine’s Day weekend.

Following her Valentine’s show at Hard Rock Hotel’s Wasted Space, Perry, 24, and Madden, 29, headed to Lavo – where the two conspicuously cuddled throughout the night, later prompting one observer to sense “some chemistry there.”

That’s simply not true, Audrina scoffs.

“I’m getting a lot of calls today about a story that ran in a New York paper saying that I am now in a ‘romantic’ relationship with Benji Madden,” Audrina says. “I find it highly amusing, since I haven’t seen him since December. I think Benji is a sweetheart and we’re good friends, but we are definitely NOT dating! Just wanted to clear that up!”

Benji is so convinced that Paris is the right woman for him, he has bombarded her with a mirage of text messages and non-stop phone calls in hopes of getting back into the the partying hotel heiress’ good graces, celebrity moles reveal in this week’s edition of The National Enquirer.

He’s even tried sending her flowers.

Aww! Really sweet, right? Umm…not so much, at least not in Paris’ book. The star of MTV’s Paris Hilton’s My New BFF isn’t interested in rekindling her love affair with the edgiest of the Madden twins and has threatened to change her phone number if Benji doesn’t take the hint and hit the bricks.

“Larry made some phone calls and Benji ended up being the most interested in being fixed up.”

Larry wants to use Benji and Britney’s burgeoning new romance to promote her new album and forthcoming world tour.
