America’s Most Famous Teenager is determined to play Batgirl in the follow-up to the Summer 2008 blockbuster, according to The Globe’s Loosch Lips Column.

Spywitnesses say Miley “stunned” producers at Warner Brothers when she showed up at the Hollywood studio in full batsuit to pitch the idea of playing a crime-fighting sidekick to Christian Bale’s Caped Crusader.

“She was sort of hopping around the room and had even written some dialogue for herself,” says an insider. “The problem is, some people aren’t really convinced Miley has the acting chops to pull it of.”

The film’s opening was made with bitter criticism from disablilty rights advocates who challenged its portrayal of people with disabilities.

Christian Bale will not face charges over an alleged assault on his mother and sister in a London hotel room last month.

The 34-year-old Welsh-born actor was arrested last month after allegedly pushing and shoving his mother, Jenny 61, and sister Sharon, 40, in his suite at London’s Dorchester Hotel one day before attending the European premiere of The Dark Knight.

Mary-Kate Olsen fled a screening of The Dark Knight in tears after breaking down at the sight of Heath Ledger in his final on-screen performance.

“It got to be too much for her,” a pal told Life & Style. “She wanted to go unnoticed, but people recognized her and started whispering. She felt really weird.”

“Between dealing with Heath on-screen and with everyone around her, she couldn’t take it. So she left,” says the spy, who adds that MK left the weekend screening after just twenty minutes.

Mary-Kate was rumored to be dating Heath when he died of an overdose in January.

Award-winning actors Philip Seymour Hoffman and Johnny Depp are being courted for roles in a sequel to the biggest box office feature ever, The Dark Knight. Sources close to the project tell the National Enquirer that studio heads are hoping to bring Hoffman, who starred in the critically-acclaimed 2006 film Capote, and Depp on-board for a follow-up to this Summer’s Batman epic.

“(Producers) are convinced that the role of the Riddler is perfect for Depp. Johnny’s a pro. He’ll be able to take direction from director Chris Nolan and still make the character his own,” the insider says.

“And what better Penguin is there than Philip Seymour Hoffman.”
