Will.i.am is publicly backing U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama in a music video based on of the Senator’s speeches. Scarlett Johansson and Herbie Hancock, Kate Walsh, and John Legend also appear in the footage titled “Yes We Can.” The video was shot by Jesse Dylan, son of singer Bob Dylan, and takes its inspiration from a speech Senator Obama made following his New Hampshire primary win.
In political news, Illnois senator, Barack Obama has announced that he is taking the first steps toward becoming America’s first Black Commander-In-Chief in the 2008 Presidential Elections.
Senator B.O announced his plans to file papers for a presidential exploratory committee on his his website www.barackobama.com. This is typically the first step in making a run for the White House.
“I certainly didn’t expect to find myself in this position a year ago,” B.O said in a video posting. “I’ve been struck by how hungry we all are for a different kind of politics. So I’ve spent some time thinking about how I could best advance the cause of change and progress that we so desperately need.”
It should be interesting to see if Barack’s admission to experimenting with drugs in college in his autobiography will turn into a media circus-and you know how much we love those.
