Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are trying to scrap together some extra cash by selling photos of their newborn son, Bronx Mowgli, but so far, no one’s interested.

“Pete and Ashlee have approached every single celebrity magazine with offers to sell their first photos, but nobody wants them. Covers of them tend not to sell well,” an insider tells Page Six.

The Wentzes have a good explanation for subjecting their first-born to years of playground torment with their ridiculous decision to call the tyke Bronx Mowgli.

The young family are planning a move to the Big Apple next Spring and wanted to pay tribute to their new hometown with their choice of baby name.

“They want to settle into their new life with a baby before they move to Brooklyn,” a source close to the couple tells OK!

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and husband Pete Wentz welcomed the arrival of their first son on Thursday night.

Bronx Mowgli Wentz weighed in at 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long.

“Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!” a spokesperson tells PEOPLE.

Ashlee Simpson, who’s expecting her first child with husband Pete Wentz “any day now,” is having a baby shower in Los Angeles today.

We hear the shower is going off at an L.A. hotel this afternoon with about 30-35 guests in attendance. The theme is Winnie the Pooh–which comes complete with honeypot and bee decorations.
