Hewlett-Packard is out with an unaired ad featuring celebrity photog Annie Leibovitz. It’s part of the computer manfacturer’s “Let’s Do Amazing” promotional campaign, which also features Rhys Darby of Flight of the Conchords and Dr. Dre.
Louis Vuitton turned the tables on famed shutterbug Annie Leibovitz, photographer of its annual Core Values ad campaigns, when executives for the French fashion house asked her to appear in its Spring/Summer spots, which will debut Feb. 1.
Joined by ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov, the image was snapped in Annie’s New York studio and depicts Mikhail standing barefoot on a podium as the photographer eyes him from the floor.
Talk about awkward timing: Scandal-shamed womanizer Tiger Woods and his bulging biceps are plastered across the February cover of Vanity Fair Magazine. Legendary shutterbug Annie Leibovitz snapped Tiger shirtless and pumping iron for a groundbreaking spread just weeks before the winter sex scandal that prompted the golfing champ’s fall from grace last November. The full portfolio features never-before-seen photos of a raw Woods.
Annie Leibovitz is working hard to pay off her debts. The famed celebrity photog — best known for timeless portraits in go-to glossies like Vanity Fair and Vogue — snapped Britney Spears for an upcoming Candie’s for Kohl’s ad campaign, according to Hollywoodlife.com. The cash-strapped Leibovitz shot the pop star “in various stages of undress” for the new Candies campaign during a top secret photoshoot on the Paramount Studios lot in Hollywood Dec.10.
Liebovitz was on the verge of bankruptcy after last summer unpaid bills, mortgages on several luxury homes, and a $24 million lawsuit from art financial firm Art Capital Group. The two later renegotiated the terms of a defaulted loan and the lawsuit was dropped in December.
Britney’s Candies Spring/Summer 2010 campaign ads will debut early next year.
