Letterman asked his guest what her ex does for a living, to which Anne replied: “Can you say lazy ass on TV? No no no, that’s terrible.”

The actress added, “He goes out to the mailbox and he opens up the little mailbox door and goes, ‘Oh! I got a check from Anne! Oh my gosh I got a check from Anne!’”

Anne’s divorce from Coley was finalized in March. He was awarded sole custody of the couple’s son Homer. Anne and her boyfriend/former Men in Trees co-star James Tupper welcomed son Atlas Heche Tupper just a few days later.

It’s another boy for actress Anne Heche. The Donnie Brasco star gave birth to son Atlas Heche Tupper, her first child with boyfriend James Tupper, over the weekend.

Atlas weighed in at 6 lbs., 12 oz. “They are ecstatic,” a rep said of Anne and James.

The baby made his big debut just days before his mom finalized her divorce from ex-husband Coley Laffoon, with whom she has a seven-year-old son Homer.

Anne, 39, met John on the set of the now-defunct ABC series Men in Trees in 2006.

Anne’s venture into to daytime would her face to face with her Emmy-winning ex, comedienne Ellen DeGeneres.

Ellen, who unveiled plans to wed lover Portia de Rossi last week, was publicly dumped by Anne several years ago. The pair dated through much of the late nineties.

Anne Heche is broke as a joke. The actress was requested and was granted a temporary reprieve in paying her child and spousal support obligations to her ex, Coley Laffoon, and her son, Homer. Anne claims she is on her last leg financially after ABC pulled the plug on her series Men In Trees last week. In a legal declaration to the court, Heche states that since January she has “been unemployed and had no income from employment except for one very short term contract for a movie role for which [she] received a total of $65,000.”

And it gets worse. The actress also wrote in her court statement that she has $34,840.93 in “all of her accounts” and that if she continued her support payments of $14,798 per month, she would “have a deficit of more than $6,000 by May 31, 2008.”

She also wrote that she has $364,000 of legal, accounting and other personal debt.

Oh dear. Maybe this is punishment for naming her kid Homer.

The court has agreed to let Anne skip her July 1st spousal and child support payments pending a hearing on the matter on July 2nd, People Magazine reports.

Actress Anne Heche has lost custody of her five year old son Homer (Homer?) to her estranged husband Coley Laffoon.

Coley claimed Anne is “delusional.” She says he’s obsessed with masturbating. The actress will receive weekend visitation on alternating weekends.
